INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Customer Base defeated stablemate Midnight Music by 112 lengths to win the $72,350 Lucie Manet Stakes on the final Friday night card in the 75-year history of Betfair Hollywood Park, which is set to close in December.

Ridden by Hall of Famer Mike Smith, Customer Base ran 114 miles on the turf in 2:01.97 and paid $8.60, $4.60 and $2.60.

Midnight Music, currently in foal, returned $3.20 and $2.20. Miss Pippa was another 114 lengths back in third and paid $2.40 to show. Trainer Tom Proctor finished 1-2 in the race.

“They both ran great,” Proctor said. “(Smith) just had a little more horse power. It’s nice to see this filly get a stakes win. She’d been second and third a couple of times. (Midnight Music) is also a quality mare.”

Customer Base has four wins in 13 starts with earnings of $211,482.
