OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Srumdiddlyumptious went wire-to-wire to easily win the $60,000 Fort Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Spun Silky by 814 lengths.
Trained by Kelly John Breen and ridden by Elvis Trujillo, the 4-year-old filly ran 512 furlongs over a fast track in 1:02 3-5 and paid $4.60, $3.40, and $2.60. It was the fifth win in 11 career starts for Srumdiddlyumptious, who boosted her overall earnings to $230,610.
Spun Silky returned $12.20 and $5, while Queen Chatanika was another 214 lengths back in third and paid $3.20.
