The Clark County Medical Examiner released the name of the man killed when his motorcycle collided with a car on Sunday in front of Evergreen High School.

Edmund Magnuson, 34, of Vancouver was traveling west on a motorcycle when an eastbound car turned left into the high school’s parking lot and the motorcycle struck the car, said Kim Kapp, spokeswoman for the Vancouver Police Department. The crash was reported at 7:45 p.m. near the 14200 block of Northeast 18th Street.

“At this point, it appears the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and the car was already making their turn when the motorcycle collided,” Kapp said.

Magnuson’s death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner. Magnuson died from multiple blunt-force injuries, the medical examiner’s office said.

There have been no arrests or citations related to the crash, which Vancouver police continue to investigate.
