Prescription drug take-back event set

Vancouver — Clark County residents can dispose of expired or unwanted medications at four sites in Vancouver and La Center next weekend.

The medication take-back event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at these locations:

• PeaceHealth Memorial Health Center, 100 E. 33rd St., Vancouver.

• Kaiser Permanente Cascade Park Medical Office, 12607 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

• Kaiser Permanente Salmon Creek Medical Office, 14406 N.E. 20th Ave., Vancouver.

• La Center Police Department, 105 W. Fifth St., La Center.

All medications will be accepted.

Unwanted medications can be disposed of year-round at several collection sites across the county. Controlled substances, such as painkillers, can be taken to participating law enforcement agencies. Other drugs can be taken to participating pharmacies.
