A motorcycle rider was seriously hurt Saturday after colliding with a van on Padden Parkway in Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

WSP Trooper Will Finn said the crash occurred at 6:50 p.m. when a westbound Honda motorcycle driven by Steven L. Williams, 59, of Vancouver collided with an eastbound Chrysler minivan driven by Brenda J. McGinnis, 56, of Vancouver, who was turning left onto Northeast 152nd Avenue.

Williams was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Finn said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
