The driver who police say struck a school bus returning Hudson’s Bay High School students from school Tuesday was cited for reckless driving, according to a police spokeswoman.
An oncoming car crossed the center line and hit the bus with a glancing head-on blow Tuesday afternoon, sending the bus partway off the roadway near Fruit Valley Road and Northwest 61st Street.
No one was injured.
Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said Wednesday the investigation was ongoing, but the car’s driver, 19-year-old Alyssa Mason of Vancouver, was cited for reckless driving and driving without insurance.
