Letter: Democrats morose and sullen

By Vern Schanilec, Washougal

In all my days I have not seen a more morose and sullen group than the cabal consisting of Democratic Party leaders, members of Obama’s administration, and the so-called mainstream media led by CNN and the New York Times. Have you ever seen Jerry Nadler smile? Or James Clapper, John Brennan, Andrew McCabe, Richard Blumenthal or Cory Booker? Then there’s the liar’s club led by Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, insisting they saw evidence of Trump’s collusion. Maxine Waters and James Comey form a league of their own.

It appears their sole purpose in life is to excoriate, obstruct, and impeach President Trump. Can you imagine the mindset that requires? How can they not suffer perpetual depression while in their continual rant, exhibiting a permanent snarl. Harboring such levels of venom and hate is remarkable. Why aren’t they spending their time formulating legislation benefiting Americans instead? Even if President Trump wasn’t a jerk and a cad, having beat the cabal’s candidate, Hillary Clinton, would be enough for their eternal excoriation.

Their day will come when real investigations into fake FISA warrants and other illegal activities occur as Devin Nunes’ referrals will detail. With what went on before Trump’s election, does anyone believe that Obama was above it all?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
