Letter: Majority are just plain lazy

I fully support what Nela Nadeal said in her letter (“Get a job, you lazy bums,” Our Readers’ Views, April 28). Bum-enablers are complaining about it, but that doesn’t make it less true.

Sure, there are a few unfortunate deserving people in the homeless ranks but the majority are weed-using meth-cooking alcoholics who are just plain lazy.

Two years ago, I took a tour of a FedEx facility in Portland. The guide said they and Amazon were desperate for workers. They both will hire anybody who can walk and chew gum. Sometimes they’d go to homeless camps and offer jobs. No takers.

The Bible says the meek shall inherit the earth. Looks like the bums are getting there first.
