Letter: Rep. Kraft is a loose cannon

While I have had differences with Rep. Vicki Kraft, I generally supported her as someone with a level head. Her views on issues, even when I disagreed, were presented with facts or personal beliefs. However, of late, she has slipped into the silly side with phony pillow talk and done so at the taxpayers’ expense.

To spend one dime of public money to attend a conference on a one-sided, and proven false, view of the past presidential election is one dime too much. Worse, Rep. Kraft used the trip to speak on stage against Washington’s vote-by-mail system and vaccine mandates.

The term “loose cannon” comes from the days of sailing ships when onboard cannons had to be tied down to prevent them from recoiling and slamming across the deck, injuring the crew and possibly even sinking the ship. If Kraft continues to follow the conspiracy theory spouted by the likes of Mike Lindell, she will become a loose cannon and wreck the ship; perhaps she should consider stuffing one of Lindell’s pillows in her mouth.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
