Battle Ground police locate missing, endangered man

8:50 a.m. UPDATE: The Battle Ground Police Department reported that Amfrig Mailo has been located.


Battle Ground police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and possibly endangered adult.

Amfrig Mailo, 32, was last seen about 4 p.m. Aug. 19 leaving his home on Northwest 16th Street in Battle Ground. Mailo is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 130 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and white plaid shirt, black shorts and blue shoes. He had a backpack with him.

Officials said he is on foot and may be in the Orchards or east Vancouver area.

Mailo primarily speaks Micronesian and communicates with very limited in English. According to his family, Mailo he is cognitively impaired and may be lost.

Anyone with information on Mailo’s whereabouts should contact Officer Bredenberg at redenberg@cityofbg.org or call 911.
