Police are pictured here responding to the Battle Ground home of Clark County sheriff’s Detective Ed Owens on Sept. 15, 2010, a day after an accidental shooting there. Owens’ 3-year-old son, Ryan, got ahold of his father’s gun, accidentally shooting himself. Owens was found to have violated several policies relating to the shooting, a Clark County Sheriff’s Office internal affairs investigation found.
