Elson Strahan, president and chief executive officer of the Fort Vancouver National Trust, sees Vancouver's historic Academy, pictured above, as having a symbiotic relationship with the West Barracks managed by the trust. The organization is working to become the new owners of The Academy, which it will work to restore along with the portfolio of city owned properties the trust oversees.
