A Woodland woman driving her 2003 Volkswagen Jetta east on Highway 36 at Alderwood State Park in Lane County, Ore. lost control of her car on a curve, which traveled off the highway, struck and knocked over a utility pole and came to rest on its top. It was one of many local traffic accidents Friday.
