Serial entrepreneur Ken Hood this year sold ClearAccess, the Vancouver-based technology firm he co-founded, to Silicon Valley technology giant Cisco. No jobs were lost in the deal and Hood, a Vancouver native, says he's proud of creating jobs in Vancouver, far from the technology industry's California hub.
