LAS VEGAS (AP) — UNLV officials say safety Mike Clausen and wide receiver Michael Johnson have been suspended by coach Bobby Hauck and will miss spring practice.

University officials said Wednesday that the football players broke team rules and have been suspended indefinitely.

The school declined to comment further.

Clausen and Johnson each played their junior seasons last year.

Johnson led the Rebels with 51 receptions. He had five touchdowns.

Clausen moved to defense after starting the season at quarterback.
