The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified a 25-year-old Brush Prairie man as the person killed in a crash Sunday east of Battle Ground.

Curtis Anthony Westmoreland died from blunt trauma of the head, the medical examiner’s office said.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called about 3 p.m. to a vehicle crash in the 23000 block of Northeast 209th Street, not far from the Historic Venersborg Schoolhouse.

The medical examiner’s office said Westmoreland’s vehicle left the roadway and struck objects at a high rate of speed.

Westmoreland was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office previously said.

Northeast 209th was closed for several hours Sunday.
