Pat Courtney Gold, a fiber artist and Wasco tribal member, discussed the role of Native American women in Columbia River tribes during a presentation Sunday at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge’s Cathlapotle Plankhouse. Many women were among their tribes’ leaders, traders and decision makers, Gold said.
